Ready for your next chapter? We’re looking for an Executive Producer to join the team in Sofia! This is a parental leave cover for at least one year, starting in April 2025.
About the role
In close collaboration with the Bulgarian Content Development Manager, you will dive into a broad range of exciting tasks.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Develop a yearly content release plan in close collaboration with the Catalogue Management team and Head of Content Development.
Establish and monitor annual budgets in line with the yearly content release plan.
Submit titles, with business cases, to the greenlight process in line with Storytel’s Content Development structure.
Support the Business Affairs team with negotiations as necessary.
Stay informed about industry trends and develop relationships with IP/rights holders to source the best stories.
Commission and work with creative stakeholders, including editorial, production and asset creation, ensuring content is delivered to a high standard, on schedule and within budget.
Work cross-functionally to support the effective curation and promotion of content.
Work with Business Affairs and production stakeholders to ensure all content data and assets are complete in Storytel systems.
Monitor and report all administration for commissioned content, including finance, metadata, reports etc.
About the team
The Content Development team is responsible for the development and delivery of content across all verticals and formats that help Storytel achieve a differentiated, attractive and engaging catalog. The team works cross-functionally within the content organization with Catalog Management and Business Affairs, ensuring alignment with the company's mission, strategy, and budget.
About you
To be successful in this role, we believe that you have:
A couple of years of work experience in content acquisition (preferably within the publishing industry).
Strong project management and administration skills.
A creative mindset and a passion for storytelling.
Innovative, results-oriented and with great communication skills.
Solid knowledge of the book market in Bulgaria.
Professional language skills in Bulgarian and English.
