We are now looking for a Content Acquisition Manager for the Polish and Bulgarian markets to join our team in Warsaw! If you live in Stockholm or Copenhagen and are willing to travel to Poland about once a month, you are also welcome to apply.

About the role

As Storytel’s main dealmaker in Poland and Bulgaria, you will be an integral part of our efforts to grow in both countries. Your role is to develop and maintain excellent relationships with publishers and agents and negotiate agreements for Storytel to present great audio and ebooks on our service. Other colleagues are experts in the actual content and will define what catalogs to acquire, while you will structure the deal and negotiate the contract. When fully onboarded, not a single content contract will be made in Poland and Bulgaria without your fingerprint on it.

About the team

In this role, you will become an essential player in the global business affairs team along with 7 highly specialized and experienced colleagues. Each of us is responsible for our own areas and markets, but the team supports each other substantially and communicates continuously to ensure knowledge-sharing and best practices across. If you ask us, we have a great team with a high amount of trust and good spirit.

The Business Affairs team is responsible for all agreements around content globally. The team coordinates with content developers, legal, curation, finance and local marketing teams. Your colleagues in the team are placed in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Istanbul, London and Madrid. While we do meet physically a couple of times a year, the majority of collaboration happens online.

About you

To be successful in this role we believe that you:

• Have proven experience with negotiations and law. Preferably from the entertainment or media sectors, but highly motivated candidates from other sectors are also very welcome.

• Have professional skills in English and Polish, both in writing and speaking. Our company language is English and all our contracts are made in English. We do have bilingual templates for Poland and Bulgaria.

• Are thrilled about learning new things and developing your capabilities. We work in programs such as Biblio and Looker, and we expect you to be eager to become a super user with our help.

• Are keen on entering the world of stories. We do not expect you to know everything about the audiobook industry - we are happy to teach you.

• Are paying a lot of attention to details and a great organizer.

• Are self-motivated and diligent. We work independently under overall goals and with high degrees of freedom to plan our own workflow.

• Thrive in working in teams and know how to operate in a matrix organization, where communication, trust and teamwork amongst many stakeholders is key.
