We are now looking for a Legal Counsel with focus on Corporate Governance to join the team!

About the role

We are looking for a junior lawyer to support our global organization with corporate law and corporate governance-related matters. In this role, you will work closely with our Senior M&A & Corporate Legal Counsel and cross-functionally with various stakeholders within the Finance and People’s departments and from other parts of our organization. You will also support and/or project lead various projects from a corporate law and corporate governance perspective and coordinate with colleagues as well as external legal advisors in our international markets.

The role will include, for example:

• provide advice related to laws and regulations applicable to our listed parent company
• applicable corporate governance requirements and improvement of internal corporate processes and guidelines for governance, communication and contract management
• annual corporate resolutions and filings
• reviewing/drafting corporate documents for formalizing various corporate decisions
• corporate restructurings

The role will also from time to time entail drafting and reviewing various commercial agreements including NDAs, consultancy agreements and similar. As part of the legal team, you may also encounter many other fields of law. You should be comfortable investigating and advising in areas of law outside your main area of expertise.

About the team

This role will be part of the dynamic Storytel legal team based at our headquarters in Stockholm, consisting of five lawyers and headed by our General Counsel. The Storytel legal team plays a key role in supporting the company's business objectives. Our goal is to be a trusted and valuable partner to our colleagues in the Storytel organization, providing strategic and hands on legal support across all areas within Storytel's footprint.

About you

To be successful in this role we believe that you have the following qualifications:

• Swedish LL.M (Jur. kand./Juristexamen)
• At least 2-3 years of law firm experience from a Swedish law firm with main focus on corporate law and preferably also capital market regulation
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills on a professional level, both in English and Swedish
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to give hands-on practical advice
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once and to work independently within cross-functional teams
• Sound business judgment and ability to think strategically
• Team player
• Excellent organizational skills
• An interest in the publishing and streaming industry

And for some bonus points

• Experience working with incentive programs
• Experience working with commercial law and/or tax matters
• Experience working with an international law firm or other international environment
• Fluency in other languages besides Swedish and English
