Storytel, a Swedish company founded in 2005, is both a digital platform provider as well as a comprehensive publishing group. As we continue to grow, we are looking to strengthen our Global HR team in Stockholm with an ambitious and self-motivated Recruiter. About the role

As our Recruiter, you will play a crucial part in our continuous growth and success of Storytel! In the last three years, the number of employees has grown by more than 400%. And during 2019 we hired 163 new colleagues, and we are hopeful that 2020 will be as exciting when it comes to recruitment. 

Our Global HR team supports all our 20+ markets within the HR field. This means that you will support Country Managers as well as hiring managers in Sweden when they need to recruit a new employee to their team. In this role you will take full ownership for our recruitment processes, from start to finish. You will be exposed to the whole organization, and work closely with our top management team. There will be a big variety of roles and seniority.

We are six people within the Global HR team, both Recruiters and HR Generalists, reporting to Head of HR and Operations. 


As our recruiter you will;

  • own the recruitment processes, from start to finish and ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience
  • collaborate with Hiring Managers and Country Manager globally to meet overall recruiting goals
  • Set and follow up KPIs and measure your recruitment activities over time (for example; time to hire, cost per hire, quality of hire)
  • Experiment with new ways to optimize our recruitment processes and internal workflows to ensure our effectiveness and a great candidate experience
  • Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders internally
  • Organize and attend recruitment fairs and other events to attract candidates in accordance with our Employer branding strategy

Your profile

We believe this role is suited for someone who has worked with the whole recruitment process for some time now and is used to working closely with hiring managers to find and hire great people. The person we are looking for has a passion for the recruitment profession and for delivering top candidate experience.

  • University degree within Human Resources, Behavioral science or similar
  • + 2 years experience as a self-driven Recruiter, preferably in-house 
  • Ability to work independently and structured as you will be managing a full-cycle recruitment process
  • Data-driven mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple recruitments at once and to follow through and meet deadlines.
  • Storytel is an international company and therefore it is necessary that you speak and write in English fluently
  • Excellent communication skills

You must have strong interpersonal skills, a genuine team-player mindset and be able to work independently. You are a driven person with adaptability to other people’s needs and at the same time as you have integrity and a believer in quality and professionalism.
