Storytel is Northern Europe's largest unlimited subscription service for listening to audiobooks on your phone. We offer thousands of audiobooks and e-books in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, The Netherlands, Poland, Finland, Russia and Spain, and will enter several new markets within the next couple of years. About the role

For our office in Copenhagen we are looking for a Country Manager to manage our Danish business on a day to day basis including full P&L ownership, with the aim, to deliver profitable growth and make Storytel & Mofibo the obvious choice to everyone who enjoys reading and listening to books.

As a Country Manager you will be responsible for managing all operations within your local business. You will lead a team of around 10 people that work with content acquisition, publishing, sales and marketing. An important part of your role is to develop the team, make sure all members excel in their roles and that your team contributes to the international success of Storytel. At the Danish Storytel office there is also a team of employees working in global functions, including data management, graphics and IT-development. You responsibility includes the general office management of the Danish office.

A big part of your responsibility will be within sales & marketing. You will make sure that we spend our marketing budget wisely and that we seek new partnerships, as well as maintain and optimize existing partnerships, with the aim to raise brand awareness and grow the customer base.

You will be part of an international set of managers with whom you will exchange ideas and share knowledge. You will also have support from Storytel's global team in Stockholm. The Country manager reports to the Global CCO.

We are looking for a person who has a combination of people and business leadership experience. Building relations and cooperating with others is something that comes naturally to you. You have a strong business focus as well as a warm heart. You are used to working within international organizations. As a person you are positive and outgoing.

Your profile

We are looking for a person that has:

  • a university degree within marketing, business or equal;
  • previously worked with marketing and therefore has a broad understanding of the different channels and their role in a media strategy;
  • expert knowledge of the Danish market and media landscape;
  • experience with working in a start-up environment and understands the relevant challenges and opportunities;
  • a strong understanding of how a business operates;
  • good leadership skills and the ability to motivate employees;
  • excellent English language skills (Native Danish).
