About the Role
In this role, you will own and evolve Storytel’s global organic social media strategy, shaping how we show up across platforms and markets to grow brand relevance, category interest, and cultural presence. Your mission is to build a scalable global approach that strengthens Storytel’s identity, fuels community engagement, and drives long-term audience and channel growth.
Ultimately, you will help grow the interest in books and audiobooks.
You are passionate about sparking conversations, experimenting with new formats and features, and understanding what drives modern audiences across entertainment and culture — creating social-first content that makes stories feel relevant, emotional, and impossible to scroll past.
You will set the global direction, frameworks, and best practices for organic social media, while partnering closely with local markets and agency teams to amplify what works locally and turn it into scalable success globally. You will translate platform insights, cultural trends, and performance data into clear strategic recommendations, creative guidance, and content systems that enable markets to move faster, smarter, and more consistently.
You will collaborate to quickly develop content that responds to local trends and taps into online culture. You will need to understand the platforms and their content rules inside and out, in order to translate insights into content strategy and creative direction.

Above all, you have a strong instinct for social-first creative, deep platform knowledge, and the ambition to build a global social media presence that feels modern, relevant, and unmistakably Storytel.
Key responsibilities:
Global social media strategy
Evolve Storytel’s global organic social media strategy, ensuring social becomes an integrated part of our 360 marketing approach.
Lead global social listening and trend monitoring to identify cultural insights, audience behaviors, and platform shifts — translating them into strategy, creative direction, and scalable content formats.
Performance & measurement
Define and own a global KPI framework for organic social media and creator partnerships, setting benchmarks and performance standards across markets.
Analyze results and continuously report insights to leadership, translating performance into clear recommendations and actionable next steps.
Creator marketing
Scale Storytel’s creator marketing framework (briefing, onboarding, creator guidance, and best practice sharing across markets).
Build playbooks for creator collaborations, including always-on partnerships and campaign-based influencer and UGC activations.
Coach markets on how to elevate organic social performance and unlock the full potential of UGC and IGC.
Partner closely with the performance marketing team to ensure high-performing creator content is amplified effectively and campaigns are planned with a social-first mindset.
Community management
Set global best practices for community management, moderation, and escalation flows, partnering with PR & Comms and Customer Support when needed.
Who you are
Minimum 5 years of experience building and growing a strong brand presence on social media (experience from entertainment brands is a plus)
Fluent in English (Swedish is also a big plus)
Innovative, strategic, and creatively driven, with a strong understanding of what performs organically across platforms
Someone who loves to think bold and can act fast on big ideas
Business-savvy, data-driven, and results-oriented. You’re motivated by the impact you can make and want to contribute to business outcomes
Strong stakeholder management skills and experience leading projects across multiple teams, preferably across markets
Comfortable navigating between strategy and hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment, with a positive, can-do attitude.
Confident communicator and collaborator, able to inspire and coach others
You will work with agency partners, but it’s a big plus if you have the creative skills needed to produce engaging content for social media.
