About the Role
As the AP/AR Manager at Storytel, you'll play a pivotal role in streamlining procedures, implementing best practices and driving efficiency within the department. Leading a team of 3 employees, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintaining efficient and accurate financial processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payments and actively contributing to the development of finance department procedures. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position is located at our head office in Riddarholmen, Stockholm.
- Manage daily bookkeeping, invoicing, and timely payments of vendor invoices and expenses.
- Actively initiate and participate in projects related to process development within the finance department.
- Monitor banking activities and collaborate with the treasury team to establish weekly cash flow forecasts.
- Oversee the setup of new supplier accounts and ensure accuracy.
- Handle accruals, intercompany transactions, and provide leadership and guidance to the AP/AR team.
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting controls and identify and address risks as needed.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A relevant degree in finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
- Proven experience in successfully leading and managing a team.
- Experience in implementing and optimizing financial systems.
- Full working proficiency in Swedish and English.
- Experience in working with Purchase Orders (PO’s).
- General proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Reliable in managing email traffic and meeting deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work.
- Proactive and continuous improvement-oriented.
- Hands-on, action-oriented, and a strong team player.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Proficient in Medius and Netsuite.
- Familiarity with additional finance or accounting software.
