We are now looking for a Country Manager to grow our business in the Netherlands!

About the role

As Country Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing our business in the Netherlands, and work with a local team and central functions to shape short and long-term strategies to grow Storytel on the market. The role includes full P&L ownership, implying building brand awareness, developing content offerings and ensuring local product-market fit through the right set of commercial offerings and strategic partnerships. Your overarching purpose is to help consumers discover the beauty of being able to listen to great stories anywhere and anytime.

In this role you continue to lead the local team in the Netherlands, making sure all members excel in their roles and that your team contributes to the international success of Storytel. As such, leadership is an important part of the role, and we are looking for candidates with a strong track record in working with high-performing teams.

A big part of your responsibility will be to identify, establish and nurture long-term strategic partnerships and business opportunities as well as optimize the overall growth marketing strategy, with the aim of raising brand awareness and growing the customer base.

You will be part of an international group of Country Managers with whom you will exchange ideas and share knowledge on a regular basis. You will also work closely with the broader group of other Storytel country teams, as well as central Storytel functions. The Country Manager reports to the General Manager for Growth region.

About you

We are looking for an individual that has:

• A university degree in Business Administration or similar.
  

• 5+ years of proven professional experience from areas within business management, growth marketing, strategy or similar.

• Commercial and growth hacking mindset and strong ownership for developing the business.

• Experience in successful high-growth digital consumer business, media/entertainment or tech, preferably in a streaming or subscription service context.

• Excellent understanding of dynamics and trends in the Dutch consumer media landscape.

• Demonstrated experience in building strong teams through solid leadership skills.

• Strong analytical skills

• Excellent English and Dutch communication skills, both written and spoken.
