Storytel is looking for a leader to manage consumer PR & publicity across the business. You will be responsible for leading the consumer PR strategy and its execution in the regions. Your overall objective will be to maximise subscriber growth in terms of acquisition, engagement and retention and to build a strong content brand with maximum publicity. You will be responsible to ensure the success of content launches with pro-active content driven PR and launch events. You will also be responsible for setting the overall strategic direction for awards and events such as Storytel awards, a gala to create strong PR to strengthen our market leadership position.

This role requires consumer PR and leadership experience, preferably within a subscription, streaming and/or content driven business.

The Consumer PR and Publicity team is a part of the global Marketing organisation and works in close collaboration with the regions and cross functionally with many parts of the organisation such as content and product & tech.

Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for all aspects of the consumer PR & Publicity function - developing and ensuring all strategic goals are met and taking accountability for alignment between business objectives and consumer PR

• Drive the consumer PR & Publicity strategy at the highest level, in close collaboration with the regions, corporate comms, IR, internal communications, product & tech and the rest of the marketing organisation

• Design and implement strategies that cultivate our relationships with media, engage our target audience and boost brand awareness.

• Set goals and evaluate PR effectiveness, track KPIs, report on and analyse results

• You will be strategically responsible for consumer PR for content launches, author activations, new market launches, offers, promos, new product features and consumer events, including our annual Storytel Awards events in multiple countries

• Strategise and execute innovative PR campaigns across earned media channels for local and international Storytel Original launches in close collaboration with the central marketing team, content team and the regions.

• Coach and manage team members to deliver against the PR strategy

• Source and manage PR agencies and third parties

Qualifications:

• Documented track record of orchestrating powerful content and product launches using the full range of pr tools from social media and influencer activation to concerted publicity in relevant media

• 10+ years experience in the PR and Communications industry

• Experience in a relevant leadership position in a consumer PR or publicity department or agency

• Experience with event management for content launches, new market launches and awards events is highly desired

• MBA or equivalent
