Global Content Curator

At Storytel we believe that powerful stories add an extra dimension to life. We offer thousands of audiobooks and ebooks to customers in fifteen markets, with several new markets launching in the coming year. Storytel is Northern Europe's largest audiobook streaming service and we are looking to strengthen our Global Content division by adding a Content Curator in Copenhagen or Stockholm.

What you’ll be doing

As Content Curator you will focus on supporting our 15+ local teams in curating content, making sure that they have the best possible tools to achieve their goals and optimise the listening experience for our users. You will, together with two other content curators, be the local teams go to person when it comes to any questions regarding content curation. You will have daily contact with Storytel markets around the world, advising both mature and new markets when it comes to content curation. You are also making sure that local teams are aligned in terms of curation guidelines and standards.

On a weekly basis you will do everything from answering questions about curation, coordinate global book related projects, curate our English catalogue but also do some more manual tasks. One of your responsibilities is to identify and elevate, in creative and thoughtful ways, the hidden gems in our catalogue. As a global Content Curator you will have a data-driven approach in your daily work, supporting your gut feeling with statistics and numbers to make the right decision.

You will also be involved in starting up new markets, supporting them in content curation, making sure that they know the Storytel way in curating content.

Storytel consists of several global teams and you will work closely with the Global Marketing team, the Global Publishing team and the Intelligence team who are mainly stationed in Stockholm and Copenhagen.

What we’re looking for

  • A book-obsessed person with a broad overview about popular authors and genres, as well as trends in the audiobook segment.
  • Experience of working with a data-driven and customer-focused business.
  • Experience of working with content marketing
  • Preferably a degree in literature, media and communication or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, in English and preferably one or two other languages.
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to work with a number of stakeholders in all our territories.
  • Comfort in a fast-moving environment with frequent changes in scope or direction of projects.
