Storytel started in Sweden in 2005 and has come to the Netherlands in 2013. Last year we launched Belgium, bringing the total to more than 20 countries. Meanwhile, Storytel The Netherlands and Belgium are growing very fast, both in listeners, in the exclusive Storytel Original series, but also in the huge range of well-known titles and writers.

 

About the role

In recent years we have made a lot of steps. Now we need you for the next step. Will you help us grow our subscriber base in The Netherlands?

The ideal Growth Hacker / Marketer is looking for a full-time position in Amsterdam and works closely with international online colleagues to measure all activities on effectiveness and adjust the media mix where necessary. Besides this, operating independently as well as in a team is close to your heart. You are proactive and know how to turn strategic plans into tangible actions. You are data & result driven, organized and enjoy working on the latest trends in the field of digital growth and CRM. You make decisions based on detailed insights, as well as an evaluation of consumer behavior.

 

Activities

As Growth Hacker / Marketer you will join the Growth Team of Storytel The Netherlands and Belgium. You will work closely together with the Content and Curation Team, in order to realize the necessary growth in the Netherlands and Belgium. You will report to the Growth & Strategy Lead.

You are responsible for the daily planning and execution of the performance campaigns for both growth and retention. 

The work includes:

  • The planning, execution and optimization of growth campaigns via SEA, paid social, affiliates and programmatic
  • The planning, execution and optimization of retention campaigns through paid social and our own channels, such as email marketing and in-app messaging
  • Measuring campaigns on different KPIs
  • Extensive analysis in both Google Analytics and our CRM toolings, in order to provide our target groups with the clearest possible insight
  • International projects and initiatives around growth & retention
  • You will also be involved in structured A/B testing for paid media campaigns and CRM


Your profile

  • HBO+ education level
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • High analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented attitude
  • Paid Search (Google, Bing, SA360etc.), Display & RTB advertising (Programmatic Buying), Paid Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
  • Experience with Google Marketing Platform is an advantage
  • Proven experience in data analysis and running A/B tests
  • Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Adjust, etc.
  • Proven experience with CRM management
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken

And a number of nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SEO
  • Experience in Braze
  • Experience with subscriber services and media/publishing
  • Because we also work for Belgium, Flemish roots would be great
